Weekend in Sweden

Kaylin and Kodie doing some sailing in Stockholm

Can you find Waldo, I mean Kodie?

Some tapas snacks on the Viking Line Ferry from Turku to Stockholm

We had a good weekend in Stockholm checking out the sights and trying to stay out of the rain. The boat ride over from Turku was really beautiful, but a bit misty at times. The atmosphere on the Viking Line ferry was a party like atmosphere full of shops, karaoke bars, restaurants, and children's play areas. We had a good nights stay at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm. It was a very fancy place that we somehow managed to get free through our hotel rewards points. It was located right on one of main harbours in the city, so the views were spectacular. Our stay in Stockholm coincides with the Around the World Boat races that have a stopover in Stockholm this year. The city is buzzing with exhibitions and activities celebrating this event. Puma, Volvo, and Ericsson are among the big sponsors and they have set up alot of things to do that are associated with the big race. We spent the early week in Norway and took a night train back to Stockholm to catch our cruise boat. I will be updating with pictures on this leg of the trip soon.
