Well, our trip touring Scandinavia is nearly over and I will be writing about this over the next several days. We have had very little access to internet service over the past week and the network charges on the ship were more than 50 cents a minute for internet, so my ability to post has been hampered this week. There were a few snags along the way during our travels such as one day of a full downpour in Stockholm, an inability to visit St. Petersburg, Russia because of high winds and probably some good old fashioned Soviet government bureaucracy. I would also mention a very frustrating experience with the SJ Line, which is Sweden's railway service. They completely fouled up our sleeping car reservations on both our voyage to and back from Oslo, Norway. They left us hanging for awhile because they overbooked several passengers for the sleeping cars. It was complete mayhem for awhile as we wandered around with 3 kids and luggage in narrow hallways searching for cabins that didn't exist. We soon realized we weren't the only ones who were lost and confused. Eventually, it all got sorted out and we were able to get our cabins for the trip. All in all, we had a great time. I will be posting some pictures over the next few days of the highlights of our travels. I must close for now as we have one more boat to catch for our return trip to Finland. I am sure I will always remember this Father's Day in Stockholm, Sweden. Midsummer celebrations continued into the night as people came out in droves to celebrate this annual rite of passage. It is 6 am now and there are still people on the streets from the celebrations.
Lights out.

Eric,
Overall it sounds like you and your family are enjoying the European adventure even with a few bumps in the road.
Keep enjoying each day of the experience.
